Roasting Plant is looking to hire a highly motivated, entrepreneurial, and experienced full time General Manager to take the lead at our second store in Washington, DC.

We use our proprietary custom technology called Javabot to roast in every store and brew every cup to order. Our goal is to create the ultimate retail coffee experience for customers and a fun and fulfilling culture for our team.

About us:

Every Roasting Plant coffee shop roasts coffee onsite using our own proprietary invention called Javabot™. We travel all over the world in search of the highest-grade specialty coffee beans. We then roast in-house and brew every cup to order utilizing our state of the art roasting technology, delivering a “just-roasted, just-brewed, just for you” experience for every customer, every time.

Position Summary:

The Plant Manager will have direct responsibility for Roasting Plant’s DC retail operations, enabling store employees to deliver an amazing customer experience and drive revenue. This position requires flexibility in the work schedule and is based in Washington, DC. Relocation candidates will be considered.

Position Responsibilities:

• Leading the store team and developing talent
• Ensuring exceptional customer service
• Managing retail operations
• Driving store revenue performance
• Managing safety and security within our NYC store

Leadership:

• A proven leader who can motivate and inspire the team, set clear direction and hold people accountable
• A self-starter who will help create our retail strategy to up-level Roasting Plant to become a world-leader in retail execution
• Work independently as a “business owner” to drive exceptional customer satisfaction and revenue results
• An experienced manager who will roll-up their sleeves and effectively develop the RP DC business
• Manage through unforeseen and challenging events and issues while keeping employees focused on delivering an amazing customer experience
• Lead with integrity, honesty and knowledge that establishes and promotes the culture, values and mission of Roasting Plant
• Monitors store environments and key business indicators within the region to identify problems, concerns, and opportunities for improvement and revenue growth.

• Challenges and inspires the team to achieve targeted business results;
• Develops and maintains positive relationships with employees by understanding and addressing individual needs, motivations, and concerns;
• Ensures that staff adheres to legal and operational compliance requirements.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum of three years of retail management experience;
• Experience in specialty food and/or beverage is required;
• Coffee retail executive management and training preferred;
• Experience working with executive-level leadership teams;
• A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree is preferred but not essential.
