We’re looking for an individual who is passionate about speaking to our customers to guide how Our Place can best develop and message our products and vision.
In this role, you’ll execute research to learn about our customers and the marketplace. You’ll regularly partner with cross-functional stakeholders to turn insight into action and influence company strategy. If you’re naturally curious about why consumers do what they do, love digging into data (both quantitative and qualitative), and willing to get scrappy — we’d love to hear from you!
We have a hybrid working culture and are looking for this person to be on site 2-3 times a week at our brand new Our Place headquarters in West Los Angeles.
What you'd do at Our Place
- Execute the company’s Learning Plan to support major company moments, new product innovation, and custom ad hoc and recurring research.
- Design and program custom quantitative surveys targeting Our Place customers and relevant General Population audiences.
- Perform analysis of quantitative data within survey platforms, Excel, or similar tools.
- Craft clear and actionable presentations for stakeholders.
- Partner with Product Development, Marketing, Customer Experience, and UX teams to ensure insights needs are met and projects supporting these teams are completed on-time and on-budget.
- Balance requested research from business partners while proactively recommending research and analysis to support business objectives.
- Manage multiple projects concurrently with executive-level visibility.
- Leverage consumer insights best practices and apply those principles to new research projects.
- Recommend relevant third-party vendors and learn new insights tools as needed.
Who you are
- 3-5+ years of professional experience in a relevant field, preferably in Consumer Packaged Goods or Durables industry
- Experience working on a brand-side consumer insights team or at a quantitative research vendor conducting primary research with limited supervision
- Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills
- Working knowledge of statistics and how to apply in a research setting
- Experience programming complex surveys in research platforms (e.g. Qualtrics, Decipher)
- Experience with survey analysis tools such as DisplayR, SPSS, Q, or similar
- Experience with DIY research tools
You may also have
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Looker or Tableau
- Experience with DTC e-commerce and/or membership business models
- SQL knowledge
