Coterie is looking for a savvy social media manager with 3-5 years of experience to help us foster, nurture and engage with our parent-powered social community. If you are a community-obsessed individual who has a genuine love and passion for social media and growing online community platforms, this role is for you. The social manager will be the heart of how our brand interacts with customers online, maintaining a consistent tone and voice of the Coterie brand across our key social channels.
This role involves developing strategies that drive meaningful connections with our community, support our brand identity and values, and increase brand love and loyalty. The social manager will work cross-functionally with our CX, partnerships and creative teams to support monthly content initiatives, develop the content calendar, manage ongoing content opportunities with brand partners and content creators, thoughtfully engage with the Coterie community + ambassadors, and escalate overall community sentiment to the larger brand team. The ideal candidate for this role is a collaborative teammate that is social-obsessed, and excited by culture, innovation, and design. The Social Manager will sit on the brand marketing team and report directly to the Sr. Social Strategist.
Requirements
You Will:
- Manage all the content calendar, including publishing content to our social channels (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook), updating brand and content calendars regularly, working with copywriters and creative teams to develop content, and managing the entire asset workflow from creation to publishing and reporting.
- Own, monitor, and address customer support inquiries for social channels in a timely manner using the Kustomer platform in accordance to brand guidelines.
- Act as a partner to the CX team to maintain community inquiries across social for a consistent and effective customer experience.
- Actively engage with our social media audience, influencers and ambassador partners to build engagement and brand affinity. Be the “voice of the brand” on social media, participating in real-time conversations that surround our content and the brand.
- Own monthly brand reporting for social by analyzing data, identifying valuable social customer insight trends and behaviors and providing strategic recommendations to our cross-functional teams.
- Partner with the broader marketing team, including Brand, Partnerships + Growth for ongoing social support and to identify opportunities for meaningful customer engagement, including brand loyalty and community programs.
- Collaborate on the creation of engaging content in all shapes and forms, from video capture at an event, team meeting or shoot to visual assets, copy support, giveaways, campaigns, collaborations, etc.
- Develop relevant content topics, editorial campaigns, content franchises, and tentpoles to connect with our audience, in collaboration with Brand + Creative team.
- Act as a true social media expert at Coterie, keeping the team up-to-date with changes in the social ecosystem, industry + cultural trends, and up to date platform best practices.
You Have:
- 3-5 years of related experience with working knowledge of social media platforms and best practices
- Strong knowledge of Instagram + TikTok + Youtube, with a passion for growing and fostering communities
- Self-starter mentality with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment & meet changing deadlines on multiple projects
- Demonstrated history of hitting and surpassing social media growth goals
- A keen sense of emerging social platforms and their potentials for us as a brand
- An understanding of how to build customer relationships with excellent communication and interpersonal skills (oral, written, non-verbal, etc.)
- Ability to communicate the brand and its positioning in a way that caters to each social app and platform
- A positive attitude, with great attention to detail. You are comfortable managing multiple work streams and you regularly proof-read posts carefully before setting anything live
- Ability to understand and use analytics to inform community-based decisions, including audience insights, platform trends, content performance benchmarks, social listening, etc
- Experience publishing and using scheduling/publishing tools, with “always curious” attitude when it comes to learning more about social strategy
- Ability to capture content in ways that feel engaging and native
- A genuine interest in the baby space + a parent-first community
- A finger on the pulse in terms of the cultural conversation, and a desire to be creative and try new things!
- Experience with Asana, DashHudson, and Kustomer (or equivalents) is a plus.
The expected salary for this role is $100,000 - $117,000 depending on a number of factors including job, level, experience and skill set.
