About Us

Have you ever wondered why we rely on chemicals and artificial ingredients to maintain our body’s health? We have. After years of battling on-and-off tonsillitis, our founder Carly Stein finally found relief in an ingredient called propolis: a combination of tree and plant resin created by bees to protect the hive. We aren’t just creating cleaner alternatives to the traditional medicine cabinet; we’re creating all-around cleaner products. We merge modern science with natural medicine to prove that clean medicine can actually work. We believe that today’s most common health problems can be solved with better-for-you ingredients found in nature. We source the highest-quality ingredients, and we never water them down with artificial extras, unwanted ingredients or calories. We care about the world around us and the people in it. It’s what drives our entire brand.

About the Role

We are seeking a Packaging Designer to own packaging execution and contribute to creative exploration for Beekeeper's Naturals' growing product portfolio. While your primary focus will be transforming designs into flawless, print-ready files, you'll also contribute to design explorations for line extensions, seasonal editions, and new product launches.

This role blends production precision with creative problem-solving. You'll collaborate closely with our Creative Director and tight-knit creative team to explore packaging concepts, then bring them to life with technical accuracy. From designing packaging variations to managing printer relationships and ensuring regulatory compliance, you'll be involved in the full packaging lifecycle, not just production execution.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a small, collaborative team at a mission-driven brand where your creative ideas are welcomed and your work shows up on shelves across North America. You'll refine your technical craft while flexing your design skills, all in a remote environment where we value both creative thinking and operational excellence. If you love the balance of designing, problem-solving, and perfecting files, you'll thrive here.

Responsibilities:

Packaging Execution & System Consistency

  • Own packaging execution for new SKUs following established packaging guidelines
  • Design packaging explorations for line extensions and new product launches
  • Apply color systems, benefit hierarchy, and brand standards consistently across all formats
  • Design packaging variations for multipacks, retailer-specific packaging, and seasonal editions
  • Execute regulatory updates, copy changes, and ingredient revisions with accuracy
  • Manage packaging versioning, approvals, and documentation through Change Control
  • Maintain a clean, organized packaging file library with current and archived artwork
  • Document packaging standards and best practices to build a comprehensive design guide with rationales for system decisions

Print Production & Vendor Collaboration

  • Create print-ready files with accurate dielines, bleeds, color modes, and separations
  • Ensure FDA and regulatory compliance across all packaging files
  • Partner closely with Operations to align on timelines and production readiness
  • Manage the proofing process, including printer reviews, approvals, and corrections
  • Troubleshoot print production issues and ensure color and material accuracy
  • Proactively flag quality, timing, or vendor issues to keep projects on track
  • Identify opportunities to streamline packaging workflows and improve operational efficiency

Innovation, Retail & Sales Support

  • Create product mockups for sales decks and retailer presentations
  • Design sell sheets, planograms, and retail pitch materials as needed
  • Develop in-store display or promotional packaging assets when required
  • Collaborate with external render partners to keep the render library current and accurate
  • Support innovation testing and business development with quick-turn packaging concepts
  • Contribute high-quality product visuals to investor and leadership presentations

Hybrid Support

  • Provide overflow design support during peak campaign periods
  • Participate in campaign brainstorms to understand broader creative strategy

Who You Are:

  • 2+ years of professional packaging design experience, ideally with regulated categories (supplements, food, OTC)
  • Outstanding portfolio demonstrating packaging design expertise across multiple product formats and SKU systems
  • Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, with advanced command of Illustrator
  • Strong working knowledge of print production, pre-press requirements, FDA compliance, and regulatory labeling standards
  • Exceptional attention to detail and file organization; ability to manage multiple SKUs, timelines, and revisions simultaneously without sacrificing accuracy
  • Clear communication skills and proactive problem-solving mindset when working with Operations, vendors, and cross-functional partners
  • Comfortable thriving in a fast-paced, high-growth environment where priorities shift and speed matters
  • Naturally curious about the competitive landscape—keeps an eye on emerging packaging trends, competitor brands, and retail shelf innovations

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or related field, or equivalent professional experience. Strong portfolio required.

Bonus Points for:

  • Curious and resourceful with AI tools to accelerate brainstorming, concepting, and creative exploration
  • Hybrid digital design capabilities (static assets, campaign support)

  • Passion for natural wellness and mission-driven brands
